Psychotherapy through Skype for Anxiety and Depression
Welcome! If you’re looking for psychotherapy through Skype for help with anxiety or depression, for help with agoraphobia, also for help with addiction or any other form of emotional suffering that’s affecting the quality of your life, then do please consider the possibility of online therapy with me.
I offer sessions via Skype, which I find to be very effective, and most of my clients really enjoy online therapy and find it to be perfectly effective for working with learning how to change suffering by applying the techniques of Mindfulness Therapy.
I specialize in mindfulness-based psychotherapy. I find this to be one of the most effective approaches available for working with anxiety disorders and depression and those unresolved emotions that lie behind most addictions. I also work a lot of course with agoraphobia because people cannot leave the security of their home if they’re suffering from agoraphobia. So the online therapy option is very, very necessary if you’re suffering from agoraphobia, and the system that I’ve worked with over the years works extremely well with agoraphobia and other anxiety disorders.
The key is learning how to apply mindfulness to work with your emotions. The problem is that most of us become blindly identified or blindly attached to our emotional habits, these reactive habits that operate automatically without our choice in the mind. These habits are the central cause of anxiety and depression.
But when we become more mindful of these habits in the mind, when we see them more clearly, when we bring consciousness to those habits, then we can begin to change that blind reactivity quite effectively. It’s seeing the things, that is most important. The more you see of those habits, the freer you become. This is one of the central teachings in mindfulness therapy.
It’s about overcoming that ignorance, if you like, of those underlying habits. That is the primary step that we must cultivate. We must learn to see those habits very clearly. And in the process of seeing them clearly, you begin to get more and more freedom quite naturally through that very process of awakening and seeing clearly what’s going on in the mind.
So learning to see things clearly and then learning not to identify with thoughts and emotional reactions and beliefs and perceptions and other products of reactive conditioning in the mind. So learning not to identify with them means seeing them clearly and then seeing them as objects in the mind that you can observe but become separate from through that simple process of observation.
When you become the observer, you are essentially freeing yourself from that content, from becoming the thoughts, the emotional reactions, the beliefs, and the perceptions. So learning not to identify with them, learning to see them clearly as the observer is vital.
In so doing and in developing this inner freedom around the anxiety or depression, you then stop the blind process that feeds the anxiety or depression. You start to break free from those patterns of reactive thinking that feeds the anxiety or depression. You break free from rumination, from all of that worry-based thinking that feeds anxiety and depression.
So seeing it clearly and then seeing those thoughts and emotional reactions as objects in the mind brings more and more freedom. And then it cuts off that fuel source that feeds the emotion, and that allows the emotion to then undergo its natural process of healing.
So all emotions are trying to heal themselves. That is built into the system. They’re trying to heal. The problem is the reactivity that stops them healing. So we’re learning to sit with our emotions and thoughts and beliefs and perceptions without reacting, without identifying, and this is what allows healing to happen.
It also allows us to see things clearer. We start to develop a different perspective in our relationship with our emotions and thoughts and beliefs. You start to see things from a bigger perspective, the perspective of your True Self, which is that observing consciousness that sees those beliefs, thoughts, emotions and perceptions as objects.
You are not the content of your mind. You are that awareness, that consciousness that sees the content of mind. And the more that you train in becoming your True Self, that observing consciousness, the freer you become from the mechanism that generates suffering.

Therapy through Skype is particularly good for learning how to overcome anxiety and depression. I teach Mindfulness Therapy, which is one of the best approaches available for anxiety and which works well online.
Traditional talk therapy can be helpful, but often it does not transform the underlying structure that is the real cause of your anxiety and depression.
This also applies to the use of medications – the drug may provide a temporary relief from symptoms for awhile, but medications will not heal the underlying cause that produces your emotional suffering.
The style of psychotherapy that I provide is known as Mindfulness Therapy, which is very powerful for controlling chronic anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression and other mental difficulties where there exists an inherent process of conditioned reactive thinking.
Welcome!. My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional mindfulness-based online therapist. I provide therapy through Skype for the treatment of anxiety, depression and for help with recovery from addictions, as well.
Therapy through Skype is particularly convenient, of course. It means you don’t have to leave home and that is very important if you are suffering from anxiety or agoraphobia or if you have driving example, for example, then it is really difficult to leave home.
So, this therapy through Skype service that I offer is designed to help you get the help that you need from the comfort of your own home. It is also very effective if you are living abroad as well. Then you may prefer some form of therapy over Skype because the local choices are just not suitable. I do have many clients who I work with, living abroad as far away as Singapore, or the Philippines, many in Western Europe of course and in the UK.
People like the online therapy approach. It is just more empowering for you, it is about helping you learn very specific and practical methods to manage anxiety or depression or to recover from an addiction. This is what you really need, much more than just talking about your emotions or trying to mask the symptoms through medications.
The Mindfulness Therapy service that I provide over Skype is really designed to help you change the underlying process of reactive thinking that creates your anxiety or depression. Once you change that, then the symptoms of anxiety and depression diminish, including the physical symptoms in the body, as well.

Therapy sessions through Skype are convenient and effective
Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. I provide therapy through Skype for the treatment of anxiety disorders and with help with depression and for help, also, with recovery from addictions.
Skype therapy is a very effective alternative to traditional office-based therapy, especially of you are interested in being more self-directed in your recovery process. Good psychotherapy is really about learning techniques and methods for working with the content of mind, with thoughts and emotional reactions that tend to create problems when we become over-identified with them.
So, the style of Skype therapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy and the focus is very much on breaking free from patterns of emotional reactivity. It works extremely well and most people see quite substantial changes after 3-4 sessions of Skype therapy using the mindfulness-based methods that I teach.
If you are interested in therapy through Skype, do please go to my website and email me and then we can schedule a Skype therapy session. So, I look forward to hearing from you.

Many people have tried conventional talking therapy and also have tried medications for treating their anxiety or depression and are perhaps not very satisfied with the results.
Conventional talking therapy can be useful for providing greater insight and understanding of why you are experiencing anxiety or depression. But, understanding alone does very little to change the underlying cause of your anxiety, panic attacks, depression or other forms of emotional suffering. That’s what I focus on during Mindfulness Therapy. I teach you very specific methods of working with your emotions and with your thoughts based on mindfulness.
This is a very well-tested and effective way of giving you the tools for how to manage your emotions so that you don’t become overwhelmed by anxiety or depression or habitual negative thinking.
