Specific conditions treated by Online Mindfulness Therapy:

Talk to a Psychotherapist Online through Skype

Conventional talk therapy can be beneficial, but often it does not alter the the underlying process that creates your anxiety and depression.

This also applies to the use of medications – taking anti-anxiety medications or antidepressants may reduce symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for healing the underlying process that generates your anxiety or depression.

The school of psychotherapy that I teach online is called Mindfulness Therapy, which can be very powerful for overcoming chronic anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression or other common psychological issues resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most of my students see quite significant changes after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online psychotherapist. If you would like to talk to a psychotherapist online do please go to my website and send me an email and then we can schedule a Skype therapy session.

I have been offering online psychotherapy for many years now and have seen tremendous benefits for my clients. There is no doubt that the online therapy format using Skype is just as effective as in-person psychotherapy, especially for the style of therapy that I offer, which is called Mindfulness Therapy.

This is dependent less on developing a relationship with your therapist and more on teaching you practical skills that you can use to overcome difficult emotions such as chronic anxiety or depression. And that, I feel is the most important thing – to give you the tools that will help you overcome your specific emotional problems, and that can be taught very well online.

So, Mindfulness Therapy is a way of working with emotions like anxiety and depression, or addiction or compulsion or phobias or panic attacks. It’s a way of working with difficult emotions by essentially changing the habit of the way that we react to these emotions.

So, emotions get triggered by thoughts or by external events and then we get lost in the conditioned reactions that ensue.

As Victor Frankl said in his famous quote, there is a space between stimulus and reaction and in that space there is choice. That space is what we develop during mindfulness training. It is the space of consciousness. It is the space that opens up when we become mindful of the triggers that trigger our anxiety or depression or compulsion, and the subjective emotional reactions that are conditioned to those triggers.

We can become mindful of both, both the triggers and our habitual reactions. When you become mindful you break that chain of reactivity that feeds and reinforces anxiety or depression, and that is a very important step. The most important step of all, really, is to break that habit that feeds and proliferates emotional suffering.

When you develop a conscious and mindful relationship with your anxiety or depression then that brings in the other factor associated with consciousness, which is choice – Choice to respond to your anxiety, or to the triggers, or to negative thought patterns, or negative behaviors – the choice to respond in ways that are not reactive but are imbued with natural innate intelligence.

You can begin to change those patterns into more positive patterns if you have choice, and that is the second factor of Mindfulness Therapy. It is a way of developing more choice in how you relate to your mind and to the triggers that triggered those emotional reactions.

Online Psychotherapy

I will be very happy to answer your questions about psychotherapy via Skype, and when you feel ready, you can schedule a Skype therapy session with me.

If you would like to talk to a psychotherapist online, then go to my website to learn about Online Therapy via Skype for managing anxiety and depression, help for recovery from an addiction, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Psychological Trauma and other varieties of emotional suffering not requiring medical treatment.

Traditional talk therapy can be helpful, but often common talk therapy does not look at the underlying structure that is the real cause of your emotional suffering.

The same can be said for medications – the medication may reduce symptoms for a while, but medications will not transform the underlying cause that produces your emotional pain.

The school of psychotherapy that I provide is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is quite successful for handling chronic anxiety and for treating depression or other emotional difficulties caused by conditioned reactive thinking. Most people experience quite significant changes after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.

If you are suffering from anxiety or depression or panic attacks or any other emotional problems that are affecting the quality of your life then you might want to talk to a therapist online.

I offer online psychotherapy via Skype to help people work through their emotions and learn new ways of breaking free from habits of emotional reactivity such as anxiety or depression or OCD or addiction. The online format that I use works extremely well especially if you are suffering from anxiety or one of these kind of emotional problems that really depend on an underlying conditioned habit. These habits can be changed through mindfulness, through the application of conscious awareness to uncover those habits.

When you bring consciousness, mindfulness, to any habit you basically break the pattern of repetition by bringing in the element of choice. The more consciousness you bring to a habit, the more choice you develop. The more choice allows you to respond differently to those triggers that triggered that anxiety. So, this is what we work on during our online therapy sessions. Most people see quite significant changes within quite a short time, and this is because we are focusing on the actual mechanism that produces that anxiety – the unseen habit.

So, if you would like to learn more about online psychotherapy and you would like to talk to a therapist online, then simply go to my website and email me to schedule a Skype therapy session. Ask any questions you have about online therapy and I look forward to working with you. Thank you.

Talk to a Psychotherapist Online via Skype

If you’d like to talk to a psychotherapist online through Skype I invite you to go to my website and learn more about the mindfulness based psychotherapy that I offer through Skype.

Mindfulness psychotherapy is a very effective approach for helping you manage anxiety and depression without using medications. As you well know medications may provide a temporary relief from symptoms but medications are not going to address the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression or other form of emotional suffering.

That underlying cause is psychological in nature. Essentially it’s a habit. We develop habits based around fear. That’s probably the most common core emotion behind anxiety and depression and many other of our problems. We become embroiled in this inner fear which then takes on many different forms as reactive thinking, other forms of emotional reactivity and also behaviors based around fear like avoidance and hatred and also addictions as well, another kind of behavioral reactivity based on fear primarily.

So when we are working with our emotions we work on changing this fear. We try to establish a relationship with that part of us that is in fear that is experiencing fear. We learn to comfort that we learn to help it heal, which can only happen when you establish a very strong conscious and compassionate relationship with your fear.

When you do this you provide the right vehicle that allows that fear to begin to heal itself. When you establish a really good mindful relationship with your fear then the rate of healing is greatly accelerated.

Online mindfulness therapy
Online mindfulness psychotherapy

Mindfulness is all about building this quality of compassionate and non-reactive relationship with your mind, with your emotions, with your thoughts, with your beliefs, with your memories, whatever constitutes the content of your mind. We build a relationship with that content using mindfulness. It’s really a way of establishing a non-reactive conscious awareness and this is absolutely essential for healing.

When you bring mindfulness to fear or anxiety or depression it begins to heal and that rate of healing is greatly accelerated, as I said. So during sessions I will teach you how to use mindfulness to do this. How to actually meditate on your emotions, to meditate on that fear. That’s the most important practical skill that I will teach you.

You have to learn to actively engage with the fear, but not become overwhelmed by it. And that is the first purpose of meditating on your fear. It is learning how not to become overwhelmed by your fear, how not to become reactive and how not to allow that fear to propagate into cognitive reactivity or further emotional reactivity or behavioral reactivity.

So that’s essential. We learn to build or non-reactive relationship with our fear and then we help it heal through the medium of compassion. Now compassion here is specifically helping that emotion change in a direction that helps it heal. How we do that is something that we open up to discover through meditating on the emotion. We learn what is effective in helping it to heal.

The most effective thing we can do is to build a non-reactive relationship to it. This is the equivalent of being like a parent to a child. A child is suffering but the parent doesn’t react to that suffering. Instead he or she responds to that suffering with compassion and responds in a way that helps that child relieve his or her suffering.

So that’s what we have to do internally. We have to become like a parent to our emotional pain and to our fear, to our anxiety, to our depression. Whatever it is we have to build that parent child type relationship. That’s the first essential thing we must do if we want it to heal.

If we try to avoid it or we try to talk it away or we distract ourselves through some practice or other or through drugs or alcohol, that will not create the right relationship and it will not heal the underlying fear, and usually you will end up amplifying that fear.

So meditation is central. Learning to be with your fear without reacting and with compassion. Now this is a skill. You will have to work on this, but I will teach you in great detail exactly how to do this.

Once you’ve learned the basic mechanism of how to meditate on your emotions the rest will come quite easily because it’s based on what you already know. You already know how to be compassionate. It’s already part of your nature. It’s part of what we call your True Self. You don’t need to learn how to be compassionate, you simply need to learn how to bring compassion where it’s needed.

Skype with a psychotherapist online for anxiety and depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I specialize in online mindfulness therapy. This is a system of psychotherapy that I’ve developed over the years which is particularly effective for overcoming anxiety and depression.

So if you’re interested in talking to a psychotherapist over Skype to help you overcome your anxiety or depression then do please go to my website and learn more about this online service and then feel free to contact me. Ask any questions you may have about online psychotherapy in general, or about the mindfulness therapy therapy approach that I teach. I’d be happy to correspond with you until you feel comfortable enough to schedule a Skype therapy session with me.

The Skype Therapy approach that I teach is very structured and very practical. It is designed to give you mindfulness based tools for working with your emotions and to help you heal those emotional reactive patterns that are causing suffering.

So I firmly believe that anxiety and depression are best viewed as psychological habits, not medical disorders, and psychological habits can be changed through training, and that’s what we do during these mindfulness therapy sessions.

I will teach you how to work specifically with your emotions so that they heal. Basically, this is what we’re interested in doing, learning to heal that emotional pain. We’re not trying to cope or tolerate our emotions. We’re not trying to manage our anxiety or depression or stress. We’re trying to heal it. This is one of the fundamental features of mindfulness therapy.

As as we know, anxiety and depression are fueled by reactive thinking, patterns of conditioned habitual automatic reactive thinking. And that’s the first thing we must focus on, and learning how to manage reactive thinking so that it doesn’t fuel the underlying psychological habit that creates your anxiety or depression.

So it’s possible to free yourself from patterns of habitual reactive thinking and rumination when you bring more conscious awareness to the mind. This is the thing that’s missing and that really is behind the habits of anxiety or depression. We don’t have sufficient consciousness. We are certainly aware that we are suffering and we are aware of these reactive thoughts but we do not have a conscious relationship with them. They arise and they seem to take over, they take charge. They control our state of mind and that is an unconscious process.

Mindfulness is about developing more consciousness and mindfulness therapy is about bringing this consciousness to basically break that habit of reactive thinking. So that’s one very big part of the mindfulness based psychotherapy that I have developed over the years.

There are other aspects to mindfulness based therapy. We also work a lot with the imagery of our emotions. Most people are not familiar with this but all emotions are based around internal psychological imagery. How you see emotions and thoughts, as well, in the mind is what determines the intensity of those emotions or thoughts or beliefs or memories.

This is particularly the case with traumatic memories. It’s not so much the event itself that causes the trauma. When we remember that event, whether it’s physical abuse or emotional abuse, or whether it’s a very disturbing scene, whatever it might be that’s causing that post-traumatic stress. It’s not the actual memory itself it’s the imagery of the memory that creates the re-traumatization. How you see that picture in the mind, how big it is, how close it is, how much color and detail does it have. Is it a sharp image or is it a fuzzy image.

If it is a very sharp image is likely to create a very intense emotion. If it is very large it will create an intense emotion. It is very close in your visual field, how you see it, if you see it right in front of you, then it is going to create more fear and emotional distress than it would if he was further away.

So that imagery has a structure and part of our work in mindfulness therapy is to uncover this image structure, to see how it actually works in the mind. Again, by bringing more consciousness to the emotions to investigate the structure of the emotions. When you see how that imagery works then you can begin to change that imagery and that changes the emotion itself very directly. So when when emotions heal naturally, what actually happens is that their imagery changes. The images become smaller, more distant, more fuzzy, and so on.

So that’s another part of mindfulness therapy. We call this mindfulness based imagery processing. And it’s really, really effective, especially with anxiety and depression.

Online therapy for depression
Online psychotherapy for depression and anxiety. Get the help you need!

As you know depression is typically associated with the color black so that black color is part of the structure of the emotion of depression. It has to be black to create the suffering of depression. Seeing that it is black we can help change the color. Change it to white or whatever you find works through your mindful investigation of that imagery. When you change the color of depression from black to white the depression is no longer functional. It no longer creates that emotion.

So these are some little tastes of mindfulness therapy. It’s a very effective form of psychotherapy and it gives you practical tools that you can practice your self, and that is what is much more important than any treatment based approach. You have to learn how to work with your emotions yourself and mindfulness therapy gives you those tools.

If you would like to get started with me and try a few sessions of online mindfulness based psychotherapy then simply email me and lets schedule a Skype Therapy session and get started.

Most people start seeing results very quickly with mindfulness therapy, typically within the first few sessions you will see substantial and significant improvements. This approach is completely different than conventional talk therapy where you’re just talking about your feelings.

This is also completely different than treatment based approaches that try to reduce symptoms through medication. I do not recommend medication because it simply masks the symptoms. It does not treat that underlying psychological habit that causes the emotional suffering in the first place.

So if you’d like to get started with me then please send me an email and let’s schedule a session. Thank you.

Talk to an Online Mindfulness Psychotherapist for Managing Anxiety and Depression via Skype

So if you’re interested in Mindfulness Therapy and you would like to talk to a psychotherapist like myself who specializes in Mindfulness Therapy for treating anxiety and depression then do please go to my website, learn more about this service and contact me if you would like to schedule some online therapy sessions with me.

So I offer online Mindfulness Therapy using Skype. Skype is important. It makes online therapy much more effective when you can see each other. When you can see each other, then there’s really no difference between Skype Therapy when compared to meeting a therapist in person.

online therapy via Skype for anxiety and depression
Online therapy via Skype for anxiety and depression

So Mindfulness Therapy is quite different than conventional talking therapy or counseling that you may have already tried. The whole focus in Mindfulness Therapy is changing the underlying process that causes your anxiety or depression or addiction or whatever form of emotional suffering that you may have.

There’s always an underlying process, a psychological process going on that produces that emotional state, and most of the time we are not really very aware of how we create anxiety or depression. It becomes an automatic habit and like all habits it operates out of consciousness, so we’re not really aware of how it works.

The whole purpose Mindfulness Therapy is to look very carefully inside to see how it works, to see how the mind creates anxiety or depression or any other form with emotional suffering. And the primary way to do this is through learning how to meditate on our emotions. So this is quite a novel concept for many people.

We don’t normally think about meditating on our emotions. People are more likely to want to escape from their emotions. But it is very clear from the work that I have done over the years, that the primary problem for healing is avoidance and also aversion, hating the internal emotional pain.

When me react to our painful emotions with avoidance or with aversion then that has the definite effect of reinforcing that emotional suffering and the habit that produces it.

So in mindfulness we learn how to change our relationship to any emotions that are creating pain. You learn how to form a conscious and non-reactive relationship with them. That’s the most important first step in helping them heal. So we do this by meditating on our emotions.

We bring the emotion into the mind. Imagining it, but on purpose and on our terms, which is quite different than the normal habitual reaction. We look at it and the first thing we look for is the constellation of reactive thoughts, habitual reactive thoughts, that feeds the anxiety or depression.

So thoughts are essentially a form of fuel that feeds the emotional suffering. Thoughts to not cause anxiety or depression, they feed it. Now when we learn how to see these thoughts clearly then we can begin to change our relationship to them and overcome this habit of identifying with those thoughts and beliefs that tend to feed the underlying suffering.

So breaking the habit of reactive identification is a key feature of mindfulness training and therapy. We can hold the emotion in the mind. We can hold the constellation of thoughts in the mind and not become overwhelmed by them, not become a prisoner of those mental objects. So developing this objectivity is essential for healing and it’s a central focus of Mindfulness Therapy.

I will train you how to do this.It Is really quite surprising. It’s not that difficult.

People are always amazed that they can sit with their own emotional pain and not suffer. So then we can begin to respond with compassion, helping the emotion heal itself. So first we stop the fuel source of reactive thoughts and then we address the emotion itself and help it heal by developing a compassionate and mindful relationship with it. And this approach is extremely effective and very practical.

I will teach you how to do this. I will teach you methods that you can practice yourself between sessions so that you can build on this natural healing process that leads to the resolution of emotional suffering.

Typically people see changes within three to four sessions when they apply themselves in this focused way using mindfulness.

So if you’re interested in learning more about Mindfulness Therapy and you like the idea of working with a therapist online, then please contact me and schedule a session.

So I see people worldwide. Most of my clients live in America. I’m based in Boulder, Colorado. But I see lots of people in Europe and the UK and as far away as Australia. All you need is a good internet connection and a quiet place to conduct your Skype Therapy sessions and then we can get started.

So I invite you to consider this and to schedule a trial session with me. You will know after the first session if this approach is right for you and most people find it tremendously effective and a lot better than just talking about your feelings and certainly it’s a great advance over medications.

Medications have the place for treating symptoms on a short-term basis, but medications are never going to change the underlying habits, those psychological habits that cause your suffering.

That you must do by developing a different way of relating to your emotions, developing a compassionate and mindful relationship is what really makes the difference and promotes healing. So if you would like to get started with me then please send me an email and let’s schedule a session.

Speak to a Psychotherapist online for effective help with anxiety and depression

If you’d like to speak to a psychotherapist online for help with anxiety or depression or addiction or any other emotional problem, then you might want to go to my website and learn more about the online psychotherapy service that I offer via Skype.

So being able to speak to a psychotherapist online offers a lot of advantages, of course, one of which is simply convenience. It’s much easier to schedule online therapy than having to travel to see a therapist in their office, and so on,.

The other reason I think that people like online psychotherapy is because it’s also much more comfortable for you because you can conduct your therapy sessions from the comfort of home or other place that works for you. And being in familiar surroundings makes you much more able to receive the teachings that I give and to manage your emotions using the mindfulness based techniques that I teach online. Being comfortable is really important.

Another advantage of online therapy is it gives you a greater sense of power, of being in charge of your recovery process and this can be very important indeed.

I don’t like the treatment based models of psychotherapy and I don’t like medications either because one of the effects of treatment based approaches is that it makes you feel more like a victim, a helpless individual who has to go to some authority for help, and that’s not going to help your recovery process, it is actually counterproductive.

You need to feel empowered. And a good psychotherapist will certainly help you feel that way. How to learn how to manage your emotions more effectively by yourself, not to become dependent on some treatment protocol.

This is very important for working with anxiety and depression as well. You need to learn how to work with your mind how to work with your emotions and particularly with your habitual thoughts patterns. Because if you don’t really learn how to work with your mind you will always be vulnerable to emotional suffering.

So during the online therapy sessions that I teach, I will be showing you how to apply mindfulness to work with your emotions and your thoughts. The mindfulness approach is extremely effective, especially for anxiety and depression and other intense emotions.

I also work a lot with trauma. So mindfulness based trauma therapy is extremely effective because it allows you to learn how to process your traumatic memories without becoming overwhelmed and re-traumatized.

Mindfulness Therapy is all about learning how to form a stable and non-reactive relationship with your mind, with your emotions, with your thoughts, with your memories, and everything else that constitutes the content of mind. Developing this ability to be present as the observer instead of becoming lost in the content is an absolutely vital part of good psychotherapy.

So if you would like to speak to a psychotherapist online via Skype and you like the idea of working with me then please send me an email and we can schedule a Skype session at a time that works for you.

The Mindfulness Therapy approach that I teach is very effective, especially for anxiety disorders, and most people see significant improvements after 3-4 sessions. Even after the first session you should begin to see big changes as you start applying the mindfulness strategies and methods that I will teach you.

Online Therapy Sites - Mindfulness-based Skype Therapy Service for Overcoming Anxiety and Depression. Speak with an Online Therapist via Skype
Speak with an Online Psychotherapist via Skype

The whole focus of mindfulness therapy, which is style of psychotherapy that I teach online, is to teach you how to work with your emotions using mindfulness and develop very effective and practical methods of working with difficult recurring emotional suffering and also with intrusive thoughts or any other form of emotional suffering that you’re dealing with.

We want to learn to develop tools to manage our emotional well-being. It’s much preferable to do this than it is to rely on medications or other treatment based approaches. Medications and treatments may provide a temporary relief from symptoms but it’s not going to change the underlying psychological process that’s producing your emotional suffering.

We have to do this by developing some form of psychotherapy whereby we learn to develop a different kind of relationship with our thoughts and emotions and that’s what we specialize in during mindfulness therapy. It’s very practical very hands on. It really gives you the tools to heal your own emotional pain and develop a greater sense of well-being and happiness.

Mindfulness Therapy is a very effective approach. It is the next step up from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. So CBT is good because it helps you learn how to manage thoughts. But the question is what is it that drives those thoughts to be so powerful in the mind? What is it that makes those thoughts intrusive and what is it that causes those thoughts to feed more and more anxiety or depression?

And that is what we address in mindfulness therapy. So thoughts themselves are not a problem and the same goes for beliefs. Beliefs in themselves are not the problem. The problem is this, if you like, compulsive energy that feeds those thoughts or beliefs and that’s what we focus on with mindfulness therapy, because when you can neutralize that compulsive energy then the thoughts and beliefs drop away upon themselves and are replaced quite naturally by more positive thoughts and beliefs. The only thing that keeps them stuck is this unresolved emotional energy that’s feeding those thoughts and beliefs.

So we change this by learning how to identify that compulsive energy which is usually based around fear. So we find that fear and we learn to develop a very mindful and that means a very compassionate relationship with the fear itself. We focus on helping that fear resolve and heal. When it’s resolved and healed then it no longer fuels the reactive thoughts and rumination and worrying and obsessive thinking that fuels your anxiety or depression.

We learn to develop a relationship with our emotions by actually meditating on our emotions.

Skype Counseling – Online psychotherapy via Skype

Most of us spend our time running away from our emotions. We don’t like painful emotions. we don’t like anxiety or depression or fear. But if you avoid your fear it will simply grows stronger or it will not heal. If you try to suppress your fear, the same, it will not resolve, it will not heal. It’s more likely to grow.

But when you bring conscious mindful and compassionate awareness to your fear then you create the correct conditions that allow that fear to heal. So we build a very strong internal conscious relationship with our fear and we do this through the medium of meditation. We meditate on our fear. This is what helps it heal.

If you would like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and the mindfulness approach to healing your anxiety or depression without using medication and without having to spend years in conventional talk therapy then please go to my website, learn more about this approach and please email me so we can schedule an online therapy session.

All my therapy sessions are done through Skype. This is very important because you need to be able to see each other for effective psychotherapy, and if you use Skype then Skype Therapy becomes just as effective as conventional in person therapy, and it may even be more effective for the reasons that I described earlier.

The online format is more comfortable for you. And generally you feel more in control of the process and it is going to help you learn those vital techniques that will help you overcome the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression. And so if you’d like to learn more and you would like to get started with me please email me now. Thank you.

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online psychotherapist and I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. This I deliver online as Skype therapy, and it is a very effective way of working with difficult emotions such as anxiety and depression.

If you would like to talk to a therapist online please go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service and then we can schedule a Skype therapy session.

Basically, during the sessions my focus will be on helping you break free from, what I call, the emotional habits of anxiety and depression. They are psychological habits and all habits thrive on unawareness, the lack of consciousness that allows them to become automatic and conditioned and that cause them to operate without our choice or say in the matter.

Learning to overcome the conscious quality of these habits is a central focus in Mindfulness Therapy. We do this by actually learning how to meditate on our emotions, directly. This way we begin to illuminate them with consciousness, we begin to see more and more clearly the triggers that trigger these conditioned emotional reactions and the actual process that creates the emotion, as well.

Mindfulness gives you the ability to break free from these habits by simply becoming more and more aware of them. Habits cannot operate when we become conscious of them, when we become mindful. When you are sufficiently conscious, the habits lose all power over you. So, this is one theme that we explore in great detail during the Skype therapy sessions.

So, please go to my website and email me if you would like to schedule a Skype therapy session.

Mindfulness Therapy is a very direct way of working with difficult emotions. It is quite different than conventional talk therapy where you are talking about emotions. Her we are actually exploring the emotion directly and learning how to neutralize it by developing mindfulness.

Most people can expect to see quite significant changes and improvements after as few as 3-4 sessions of mindfulness therapy over Skype.

So, I look forward to hearing from you and working with you using mindfulness therapy over Skype. Thank you!

Talk with a psychotherapist online via Skype

People really like the convenience of online therapy and my clients like an approach that focuses on teaching practical mindfulness methods that you can apply by yourself…

If you would like to talk with a therapist online I invite you to go to my website and learn more about online psychotherapy via Skype.

I find it very effective and most of my clients really enjoy the online therapy option. It’s much easier and more convenient to talk to a therapist online and get help for your anxiety or depression or other emotional problems than it is to go to a therapist’s office.

It’s also much less intimidating for most people. Most people find therapy via Skype to be considerably more comfortable. And this is really quite important because the success of your therapy sessions really largely depends on how comfortable you feel and how quickly you learn what is being taught.

So during these online therapy sessions I try to really focus on teaching you practical skills and tools that you can apply yourself to help you overcome anxiety and depression, and also for working with addictions. Most of my clients suffer from anxiety so I really specialize in teaching mindfulness based methods for working with anxiety.

During the therapy sessions I will teach you how to apply mindfulness to overcome your anxiety or other emotional difficulties that you may be experiencing. The mindfulness based approach is very effective indeed and quite easy to learn and generally you can expect to see quite significant changes after the first few sessions.

Even after the very first session you can expect to see quite dramatic changes and you will get the kind of tools that you can use between sessions to help improve your skills for managing your anxiety. And that’s my goal is to give you the tools for working with your anxiety not to become reliant on a therapist and certainly not become reliant on medications.

Medications to not treat the underlying cause of anxiety. At best they may provide a temporary reduction in the symptoms of anxiety, but they don’t treat the underlying cause, so medication is not a long term solution. The only effective long term solution is to learn how to work with your mind, with the thoughts and beliefs, memories and habitual emotional reactivity that feeds your anxiety or depression or addiction.
